Golden State Warriors Launch NFT Collection, Accepts Only ETH As Payment
The Golden State Warriors becomes the first professional sports team to launch an NFT collection called the Golden State Warriors Legacy NFT Collection. This marks the team’s six NBA championships and most iconic historic games. Part of the proceeds from sales of the NFT will go to the Warriors Community Foundation. US Bank To Launch New Custody Product For Crypto Management
US Bank, a subsidiary of US Bancorp and the fifth-largest American bank plans to launch a new custody product for managing cryptocurrencies, according to their recent announcement. The Banking giant has over $554 billion assets under management (AUM). The Bank also said its permissioned to disburse NYDIG’s upcoming Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) after Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves the proposal. Grayscale Bought $2.5 Billion In XLM, LINK, BAT, MANA With Other Altcoins
Data from Bybt shows that the Grayscale bought XLM (277,931), MANA (102,183), LINK (34,506), BAT (78,014) and other altcoins with MANA recording additional 20,709 coins in the last 24 hours. Tesla's Bitcoin Holdings Records $2.48 Billion As Revealed In Q1 SEC Filing
As of March 31, 2021, Telsa held $2.48 billion worth of Bitcoin on its balance sheet as revealed in Tesla's Q1 filing with the SEC. This was after it sold 10% of its Bitcoin holdings for $272 million. The company has plans to accept bitcoin as a payment option and would keep any bitcoin earned from any sales, this option is now open in the US and it is a good move, especially for institutional investments. JPMorgan Partners with DBS To Launch Blockchain-based Cross-border Payment Platform
JPMorgan partners with Singapore’s Tamasek Holdings and DBS Group in as part of the plans to establish blockchain-based foreign exchange and trade settlement for cross-border payments. JPMorgan also launched Partior, a new company which will leverage blockchain technology and digitize the M1 commercial bank money. The US $1.9 trillion Covid-19 stimulus package spiked Bitcoin’s bull run, which motivated Japanese investment into the nation’s crypto market.
