Ten years is not a long time. Nothing can touch Bitcoin until mainstream adoption hits. Bitcoin is going to absorb the legacy system after it fails. No other network is going to be able to keep up with that kind of value transfer; not even close. Only after that happens do the other projects have a chance of building their own value to significant levels.

I certainly welcome a superior project to come onto the scene and blow everyone away. It would be a boon to the entire world. I just don't expect that's how it will go down in the least bit.
