The United States Senate and House of Representatives has a long history of using its legislative powers and committee action, to regulate and maintain oversight of this country's monetary assets. Recently, the focus of these groups has shifted to crafting legislation with the goal of giving more oversight powers to the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection to be able to seize your cryptocurrency assets if they exceed a total of $10,000. In the name of fighting money laundering, tax evasion, and terrorism.
