Corporate Media's War Against 4Chan

Buzzfeed France Editor-in-Chief Cecile Dehesdin just declared war on 4chan over the #CNNBlackmail fiasco and is trying to shut down their servers and dox its users. LOL

Firstly, I'm just gonna say this - don't stick your head in a hornets nest! She clearly has NO idea what 4Chan is. I'd wish her luck but I don't.

Secondly, why is there such an obsession from corporate media to go after 4Chan? Is it because it is one of the most successful message boards in internet history?

Oh wait...it is because 4Chan is the 2 way asshole of the internet? Many memes and community social media operations have spawned from the swamp of /b/ and many freethinkers and trolls come to the different boards to share and do what trolls do....

No...I think it is because of the media's obsession with controlling who says what in public discourse and right now, corporate media outlets WANT to have the final word on topics.

This is on the heels of CNN's publishing of a threat against a Redditor, who they believe is the creator of the "Trump vs CNN WWE" GIF. In the process, the corporation may have violated New York State legal code and committed the felony act of "coercion" against individual(s). With new developments today, I believe that CNN found the wrong redditor/user who created the GIF and merely found a scapegoat and threatened this user with what would happen if their information was released online, in the very basic terms, "you keep to your 'apology', never talk about this again, or CNN will make sure people know who you are and ruin your life."
