internet freedom being reduced again

The opinion of CNN (the US deep state) is "the terror in Christchurch New Zealand" necessitates a loss of internet freedom to provide safety from terror/terrorism/terrorists.

"Had social networks and internet service providers adequately monitored the suspect, an arrest might have been made before the massacre."

We're being informed the last of our rights is about to be taken away - our rights to free speech, to protest our criticism of government, and to be considered innocent of a crime unless proven guilty.

"The internet can be used to help perpetrate the greatest evils. It's time for lawmakers to act. Congress should draft a new law [forcing] social media and ISPs to take down terrorist content. It should prohibit coordination between these digital companies and terrorists, and encourage companies to improve their monitoring technology and algorithms to be at least capable of recognizing true threats."

Surely we see where that's going?

We're all being treated like we're terrorists! We've done nothing wrong, and don't intend to, but we're losing our right to speak freely and access the truth!

Within minutes of the news of the Christchurch terror event, I posted "here comes New Zealand's Patriot Act".

I was right, but didn't realize the entire Western world was involved. Get ready for the internet, and your rights, to take another beating in a long line of downgrades and freedom restrictions.... leading where?
