South-Africans abroad come together in Solidarity
Many South Africans are viewing Friday the 7th of April as a national “day of action,” a day to make their voices heard and a day to come together from all different backgrounds to show President Jacob Zuma that “enough is enough.” This after the alleged state capture that has been perpetrated by Zuma and the Gupta brothers. These alleged moves led to the sacking of finance minister Pravin Gordhan in an attempt to hijack treasury.
While numerous marches, sit-ins and other forms of peaceful protests have been planned for different parts of the country, South Africans living abroad have been looking for ways that they can show their solidarity with the people back home taking a stand against corrupt governance.
DA Abroad has given people in London such an opportunity, while marches are taking place on the 7th of April in SA, in London, a protest will be held on Saturday the 8th outside the South African High Commission.
“We are calling on South Africans from all walks of life – political parties, NGOs, civil society – and any South African who cares about the future of our country to join us in our movement for change.”
“Bring your South African flags and dress in your proudly South African gear as we mobilise and unite for our country!”
The group have also set up a Facebook event page with more details, so far it is expected that hundreds of people will attend. Here is the agenda for Saturday in London.

that's really fucked up, I had no idea anything was happening in SA
That is what is sad. Most of the world does not know. I am trying what I can to raise awareness.
you from there or just interested in raising awareness? Either way, its pretty noble
I live in South-Africa and I am trying to raise awareness for my country and its citizens who are under the boot of a corrupt government.
Please continue raising awareness here. It is good to see news about SA.
