Security Experts Sue FBI, DHS, CIA, and ODNI
Investigative journalist Jason Leopold, along with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) PhD candidate Ryan Shapiro, have filed a lawsuit against the FBI, CIA, DHS, and ODNI. They argue that these organizations are in violation of the Freedom of Information Act. They are suing over the various agencies' inability to comply with Leopold and Shapiro's FOIA requests regarding information on claims of Russian interference in the recent U.S. election.
Leopold and Shapiro were looking for information from the various agencies in order to try and shed some further light on some issues that many are wondering about, namely what (if any) information there is on possible Russian interference and when the U.S. might have come by that intelligence, also how various agencies might have communicated about that intelligence, and more.
They are seeking to have the various security agencies divulge information regarding efforts by members of the Electoral college to look into information regarding ongoing investigations between Donald Trump and his associates, along with possible Russian government interference.
They want to know about any possible communications to Congress or to the DNC, the RNC, the Clinton campaign, and others, that mentioned anything regarding possible Russian interference with the recent election.
Shapiro and Leopold also see a sense of urgency in sorting the matter and so they've requested to have their request expedited. Thus far, the CIA, FBI, DHS, and the ODN, have failed to respond.
And these aren't their first lawsuits involving one of these prominent security agencies either.
Earlier this month it was reported that there was some sort of intelligence information available which indicates that Russia in some way intervened to get Trump elected. But we haven't seen any solid details yet as to what exactly might prove that assertion to be true. It's also claimed that the Obama administration might announce "punishments" as a result of the alleged election interference, and that is said to include economic sanctions and more.

IMHO, any monkey-wrenches that can be thrown into the workings of the beast's machinery are a good thing. Steem on! 😄😇😄
if they're not doing anything wrong, what do they have to hide? isn't that what they say to us when they want to violate all of our rights? except we are entitled to the information they have because they work for us, and we paid for that information. it is unlawful for them to demand, or just take our information.
