To my utter dismay and disappointment, the immoral miscreants have once again won the election in Canada this year which means that the inmates get to run the asylum for another term. The only, albeit minor, comfort is that we are in a minority situation this time around.

Unfortunately it is also the worst possible of minority situations because the Liberals are now in an unholy union with the socialist NDP, and one can just imagine what vile and despicable nightmares will be legislated into existence in the coming years.

When I saw that Justin Trudeau appointed a minister of “Digital Government”, I immediately knew that the writing was on the wall and that we were in for a wild ride. Every freedom-loving individual who knows Trudeau's track-record would agree that the shit is about to hit the fan in a major, major way. And what kind of weird, creepy name is the “Ministry of Digital Government” anyway? If this does not make you think of “The Ministry of Truth” in George Orwell's 1984 novel and strike fear into your very soul, then I don't know what will.

In a recent letter to the new Canadian Heritage Minister, Justin Trudeau instructed the minister to do the following:

“You will... create new regulations for social media platforms, starting with a requirement that all platforms remove illegal content, including hate speech, within 24 hours or face significant penalties. This should include other online harms such as radicalization, incitement to violence, exploitation of children, or creation or distribution of terrorist propaganda.”

Of course, “hate speech” is entirely subjective to the ruling class; and of course, any published opposition to the ruling class would almost certainly find its way into the hate category. It's not for nothing that Justin paid off the dinosaur media with a whopping $600 million this year.

Hell is coming to Canada. And if we can draw any lessons from 1984, then we know that we can expect the exact opposite of what the government is promising us. War is not peace, freedom is not slavery, and ignorance is not strength.

But it seems that 2019 is 1984.
