The International Space Station is cut over the solar eclipse of the century

The US space agency NASA has revealed the unique image of the International Space Station (ISS) during the "great American solar eclipse" observed this Monday 21 August.

In the photo, captured during the rare space phenomenon, unprecedented in the last 99 years and appreciable throughout the continental United States. For the first time since 1918, the small silhouette of the IEE stands out against the background of the Sun covered by the Moon.

The photo was taken from the State of Wyoming during the partial eclipse, since only part of the Sun is covered by the Moon. As the agency announced on its website, during this solar phenomenon of the century the ERA "will be able to pass three times through the penumbral shadow of the Moon", experiencing a partial solar eclipse.
