newegg.com in usa has high performance but slightly older lenovo desktop refurbs w 2TB HDD only $150 - must be something like that in NZ!
If you are running windows, you can try going into system settings and change the advanced settings to favor programs , and also try using two different light weight browsers for half the pages you have loaded, so then the memory may do better cache half of them during your recording.
