Today is the World Environment Day
Today is the World Environment Day, which has been initiated by the UN since 1972. Every year, World Environment Day has a different motto. This year it is "Beat Plastic Pollution: If You Can not Reuse It, Refuse It" and the host country hosting the General Assembly of the United Nations Environment Program is India. We should all take this year's motto to heart and avoid plastic waste. You do not need a plastic bag for every purchase and even when buying food everyone can certainly do without finished products in plastic packaging or at least reduce their consumption.
