In Dearborn, Michigan Multiculturalism Means Segregation

A liberal friend of mine told me that 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants almost universally integrate and embrace western culture. But the first wave of immigrants and their offspring generally never do. A 2013 study conducted by Pew research supports my friend's claim (http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2013/02/07/second-generation-americans/?src=rss_main). Yet, when the culture, religion and overall ideology becomes ensconced in certain geographical regions like Dearborn, MI, and the immigrant residents demand that the existing western culture adapt instead of the immigrants adapting, how true is this evaluation?

This video highlights the cultural segregation that is occurring in Dearborn, MI where immigrants from middle-eastern nations appear to be rejecting western culture and values outright in order to establish segregated settlements.

Communities where the core ideology and belief system practiced by their members varies so wildly from those around them almost never fully integrate. Or, if they do, it takes many, many more generations than what the Pew research suggests. The very American Amish community is a perfect example of this. Places like Chinatown in Chicago and New York, are another. Although with these communities, they did not ask (demand) that the host society and culture around them change, itself, in order to satisfy their world view as the middle-eastern immigrant communities are doing now with the help of sympathetic liberals and progressives.

The expectation that an existing culture must adapt its laws, its education system, its diet, its morals or beliefs, including state benefits to that of an immigrant culture is an outcome and consequence of identity politics. While its moral justification seems altruistic and superficially inclusive, and it may even appear to protect the freedoms of all, the result almost certainly becomes the exact opposite of the purported intentions.

Western civilization and tenets of Islam, Sharia law in particular, cannot and will not ever integrate. If the Pew study is correct, it will take 30 to 60 years before the children of the children of middle-eastern immigrants integrate. If not, the west will never be the same after mass immigration schemes are adopted by a possible Clinton administration.

In reality, this type of identity politics pandering ensures only one thing. More democratic voters.
