Great audience question: Is implementing a national popular vote interstate compact realistic?
In this clip, I discuss the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, as well as other ways to get a national popular vote...hint: none are too likely to happen

I ultimately support the NPVIC, but I do have my doubts. It almost feels a bit... underhanded, I guess. I wish we could abolish the electoral college with a new amendment, but that will never happen.
Well, it's not underhanded in the sense that it is the epitome of states rights, right? States can decide how to allocate their EV's and if they say we will allocate based on national popular vote, that's their right to do so as granted by the concept of state's rights.
Thank you David for posting a video about this topic. I never knew that NPVIC existed, and I agree that it is very unlikely that our election results will be based on the popular vote.
Yeah it is a super interesting project though
Nice work, keep it up

Interesting, I never knew that was something that was possible.
Great post @davidpakman i see that great video so informative keep going :)
In several states it would be illegal for the electors to vote for anyone but the person which leads localy. With that in mind, is it even possible to achieve? I dont know. What i do know is that i wont condemn anyone for trying to violently overthrow a government that comes as a result of such an undemocratic action as you are suggesting on top of the undemocratic system of the electoral college.
we need blockchain in our voting! and no more suppression!
Also I would argue eliminating gerrymandering would greatly close the gap in terms of population vs representation. or lets just make the U.S. in to one big city
