I disagree.
If they are 'too big to fail', as they say, they won't be allowed to fail, at least not in a catastrophic way. If they aren't too big to fail, then the effect will not be too disruptive.
You can bet that the ECB has already analysed this.
Hi David,
Check out how our last financial crisis, not to long ago, began. It had to do with bad loans. Lending money to subprime borrowers and not being able to get it back. When banks go into default it is not a small event. It may seem so but that has to do with bailouts. That is, so far, not happening this time. I hope you are right mate, believe me. But you view is a little bit too binary in my opinion as there are so many factors that play a part.
