Why the UK Chooses Free Trade

People often accuse free trade of being the cause of various problems in the world. However, "free trade" is often a misnomer. For the most part, the E.U., U.S. and other countries have massive managed trade deals that resemble free trade in name only if they resemble it at all. If the U.K sets forth on a policy of free trade with the E.U. and other trading partners, it will only be good for their economy in the long run.

In a few short weeks, Britain will begin negotiations with the EU on how we will trade in the years ahead; in the next three years, the return of Britain’s capacity for self-government will give us the chance to trade freely with the rest of the world once more. To grasp these opportunities will require confident choices.
