Crypto News Flash #97: The Popular Gaming Company, Atari Announces The Investments In BlockChain Based Crypto Projects !!
If you're a gaming enthusiast and had played games in your Childhood, then you surely must be aware of Atari Inc.
Ring any bells? Well, if not, remember Tetris & Pacman.
Yes, those nostalgic games were introduced by Atari Inc. way back in 1990's. This company still exists and have been involved in gaming business for since 1990's. Few years back, Atari Inc. was closed and now its Holding company Atari SA had taken over its business.
Now, as per latest updates, Atari SA will be investing in cryptocurrency projects in near future, said by an Atari SA Official. Atari will be launching its own cryptocurrency which will be used in Blockchain based Gaming platform introduced by Infinity Networks in which 17.5% stakes are owned by Atari.
After the watching the popularity of Blockchain technology and new based projects based on it, new companies are entering into the blockchain space more frequently. Kodak and Telegram have already announced their ICO in coming future and now Atari is also coming with its own Cryptocurrency/token.
Atari will also develop a partnership with Pariplay Ltd., an online casino gaming company. This online gaming company will offer atari games on their platform and will allow users to bet using Atari tokens.
As per this source, Fredrick Chesnais, Atari Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said in a press release:
"Blockchains technology is poised to take a very important place in our environment and to transform, if not revolutionize, the current economic ecosystem, especially in the areas of the video game industry and online transactions [...] Our objective is to take strategic positions with a limited cash risk, in order to optimize the assets and the Atari brand.”
Following this press release, Atari share price have spiked by 60% in price which actually is very common for companies introducing partnerships with Blockchain based firms/companies.

It's pretty interesting that only by saying "blockchain" the share price can rise so dramatically for companies.
