Crypto News Flash #16 : E-Commerce Giant Amazon Registered Three Crypto-Themed Domain Names | Is It Going To Accept Payments In Crypto Anytime Soon?
Well, cryptocurrency craze has been peaked out these days when Bitcoin touched its ATH and Crypto market capitalisation has been over $200 Billion at the time of writing this. Last month it was only $60-70 Billion and within a month, it rose by almost 150%.
After looking at this, one thing is clear that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are here for stay and no one could stop them in future. Crypto's are decentralized and this core quality are working fine in their favor.
There are many large corporations which are already mining cryptocurrencies like Fidelity Investment Inc. Many celebrities are promoting many ambitious cryptocurrency projects and many institutional investors are already investing in it.
But now, E-commerce Giant named Amazon is also trying to jump into the mainstream adoption of Bitcoin. For sometime, it was rumored that Amazon will start accepting payments in Bitcoin shortly but there was no official confirmation about this rumor. But now, a latest news has gone viral related to Amazon.
A few days back, Amazon registered there Crypto-Themed domain names which are as follows:
- amazonethereum.com
- amazoncryptocurrency.com
- amazoncryptocurrencies.com.
This registration suggest that Amazon is working under the radar to accept Bitcoin payments shortly and also facilitates crypto transfers.
Amazonbitcoin.com was already registered under Amazon.
But if we talk about official matters, then Amazon Pay's VP already said in a conference that they're not going to accept Bitcoin as payment anytime soon as there's no high demand for it. The demand is low for now and if there's a rise in demand in future, then only they'll consider this thought.
But their actions speaking against their words. Registering three main stream crypto domain names suggest that Amazon will also jump in crypto business soon enough.
