This is great news. I know the Trump admin has been trying to get rid of Cordray and it looks like he is going to step down without a fight, hopefully. I really hope the Trump admin can do some good things with this appointment. If you're unfamiliar with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau here are the cliff notes, The CFPB was ruled unconstitutional because the bureau had more power than the president himself and absolutely no oversight. The CFPB operates with unparalleled power over consumers, business, banks etc etc. You can see why one man having so much unchecked control over these systems is a problem right? Thanks Obama, the seat is Trumps to fill now.
