Main stories today:


  • President Trump will host P.A. leader Abbas on May 3. 2017. White House Press secretary confirms objectives. 
  • U.S. Sec. of Defense Mattis arrives in Israel for meeting with P.M. Netanyahu. The secretary will also meet with President Reuven Rivlin and Defense Chief Lieberman. Will discuss Iran and their main proxy, Hezbollah.
  • Palestinian sisters were prevented from crossing into Israel from the West Bank. They were found to have materials for use in explosives hidden in their medical belongings. They had a permit to enter Israel because Israel gives medical care to non-Israeli Palestinians, i.e. to non-citizens. The Shin Bet has yet to determine if the sisters were aware of the explosive material, or if they were simply mules for the Hamas terror group.
  • Police ready to lay charges on the 18 year old American-Israeli citizen believed to be responsible for most of the false bomb/terror threats made to dozens of JCC's and other Jewish groups in the U.S. over the last few months. Parents say a brain tumor plays a significant role in the incident.
  • At a United Nations Security Council meeting, the Palestinian delegation praises the terrorists who are currently on a hunger strike in Israeli prisons. Israeli Ambassador to the U.N. responds critically. 
  • U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley clarifies the U.S. position on anti-Israel bias at the U.N.
  • The Jewish community in Warsaw celebrates 74 years since its uprising in the Ghetto. Damaged Torah scrolls are buried. 
  • IDF announces that over the weekend, three F-35 "Adir" stealth fighter jets will arrive in Israel from the U.S.
