Back to the Future: How time travel is 'possible' according to parallel universe theory
It looks like someone's PR department was working overtime to get this story out. I found myself bombarded today with scrumptious clickbait titles all talking about time travel being possible with a many universes interpretation.
While it's pretty easy to find the names behind the claims; Professor Howard Wiseman and Dr Michael Hall from Griffith University's Centre for Quantum Dynamics, and Dr Dirk-Andre Deckert from the University of California. It's proving a little harder to find any information on what their theory actually is and how it's new. One thing is for sure though. It made for some juicy headlines:

its obviously been done .... and I would say milions upon millions of times.
Why?
because time is a social construct...past and future are in flux with the present...all realities exist...the moment is the only real "time" that is real.
This is basic universal knowledge and does not need to be proven.
Do you have some scientific references under the hand so that I could have a look. This looks very suspicious to me. I cannot find them in your sources.

Haha, nope as mentioned the sources are indeed lacking in substance and I would like to find the same information as well. I was hoping someone would paste a better link here in the comments.
