Russian startup Bartini has presented a project of flying "Blockchain-Taxi"

The Russian Bartini project, the resident of "Skolkovo", presented a prototype of an unmanned aerial vehicle with vertical take-off and landing, which is intended to be used as an air taxi, using blockchain technology.

It is not completely clear whether the plane will be able to travel on the roads, however, on the official website the device is called a "flying car".
It is assumed that the aircraft will be presented in two versions: for two and four passengers, the cost of the model will be from $ 100 to $ 120k . Aerotaxi can fly in unmanned mode.
The Bartini project was the first participant of the blockchain-consortium in the sphere of city aviation Blockchain.Aero, the launch of which was announced on July 19 at the MAKS airshow in Moscow.

How Blockchain-Taxi works:
Flights on tokens - like trips on gasoline in a conventional car. The user makes a transaction in tokens from his wallet to the purse of the machine, and the latter, in turn, performs the transaction to the electric power station. The cost of the flight is determined by an open algorithm that takes into account the supply and demand, as well as the consumption of operational materials.

The first demonstration flight Bartini is scheduled for the third quarter of 2018.

I know all 7+ billion people on earth don't have cars.
But what about 2 Billion people having cars, Imagine if two billion + people had these, would travel be any safer ?
Or would everyone on the ground be in even more danger because there are no safe places to walk when cars can drop from the sky. I would say we're still a ways off from seeing this in real life. Maybe a decade before it commonplace.
I think we are now at the start of a new era, and in a few years the earth will be just a crazy place: what we see in the films after a few years will become real : )
