Santa Fe School Shooting Event - Eyewitness Students - Zack Wafford and Lauren Little - May 18, 2018

Interesting interview: Reporter cracks joke and asks for emotional hugs from young couple.
Eyewitness statements from Zack Wafford who states "It happened at least two doors down probably we could clearly hear the shots. We clearly heard the first shot, heard almost probably twenty shots. Reporter states "and you pulled the fire alarm?" Zack states " No I actually didn't pull the fire alarm, my sub pulled the fire alarm, my teacher actually ran out of the classroom and he pulled the fire alarm while we were barricading the door." Zack states " there actually wasn't a lot of kids on that side of the school only like 3 or 4 classes on that section, so we knew there was like another thousand on that other side of the school so we knew the fire alarm would get them safe." To reporters last question Zack states " I probably know some teachers that probably got shot too."
2nd interviewee Lauren Little statement- "We were sitting in geometry and the fire alarm went off and my teacher was like theres not supposed to be a fire alarm today whats going on so we were walking out and as soon as we open up the door there were people just shouting and yelling and so we walk out there and the teachers were like run and we were all like whats going on and we just run all the way across the school off highway six we hid behind a car wash right across the school and then they made us sit there for a little bit and then they made us get in single file lines. They made us keep on walking so we didn't know what was going on. It was just really hectic and crazy. There were people crying and screaming everywhere. Yeah it was just really crazy. There were parents that were crying that didn't know where their kids were at. It was just really hectic. It all happened in like twenty minutes. One minute your sitting there doing math problems. The next thing you know your getting told to run for your life. So it just flip flopped real fast."
Reporter then play emotional angle and states... "Nothing you guys you should have to deal with?"
Zack states " Not at all. No one should have to go through this. Its just not civil." (Looks away as he says it)
Reporter (obviously seeking emotional response) then states "Well I'm glad your ok. Now feel free to hug each other." All three then laugh and smile.
Reporter then states "I'm really glad your ok. And we talked to several parents out here who were texting with their kids during all of this guys. Imagine the horror they were feeling after seeing it on TV so many times. Now experiencing it right here in Santa Fe Texas of all places."
