A few days ago the world's first AI news anchor was revealed to the world from China.

What this is, is a new ai developed by Xinhua and the Chinese search engine, Sogou, the anchors were developed through machine learning to simulate the voice, facial movements, and gestures of real-life broadcasters, to present a “a lifelike image instead of a cold robot,”. It's eerily real how much like a human it can act, just take a look at this video.

So what could this mean? That our real news anchors can have stand-ins. That they can soon lie to us without those humanly tells. "What about that voice?" You might ask, the technology for a perfect human voice already exists and is pretty close to perfection.
