Interesting, do you happen to know how/why the hormones act as an anti-depressant?

I don't know how it works. I would guess the placenta releases happy hormones as some sort of evolutionary survival mechanism to help propagate the species by encouraging motherhood. This could also explain postpartum depression, as the sudden removal of the source of said happy hormones accounts for a sudden drop in mood. It could be a placebo effect too, but I doubt it. We have two kids, and the difference in my wife's mood and productivity was definitely noticeably better with the placenta pills.

Really?! That is something...hey if it works for her great. We don't have any studies that say otherwise though. The only studies they have are not conclusive.

at least the pill is the least nasty way to go, but it's my opinion that it would be more of a placebo effect than anything else, but without definitive science no one can know for sure
