Believing is seeing.

There once was a couple, who were on the side of a road out in the middle of AZ.
When they saw a light.
One of the couple saw a school bus with children getting out.
the other saw a flying saucer with grays.

Before there can be a wide spread alien visitation, we first, as a planet, have to decide if we believe in aliens. Fortunately, most of the world believes, so it is really just a matter of time before we have formal visits.
