RE: Amazon Facial Recognition Falsely Identified 27 Pro Athletes As Criminals

in #news5 years ago

These glowing reviews aren't even the tip of the iceberg.

It is said that everyone has a twin out there.
So, the number one report that we here coming from facial recognition is that we hooked up millions of people with their stunt doubles.

But, do we ever hear anything about that? No.

The other VERY important aspect is... how did they know about 173 criminals?
They didn't. We have no database of photos of criminals. The only thing close is a group of people, who have drivers licenses, who are wanted for question / who are suspects. NOT CRIMINALS.

The next largest database is people who have gone to jail before. And, although these are criminals, they are not WANTED criminals.

So, what the police are looking for is a way to bust all those people that the stool pigeon ratted on to get his/her sentence reduced.
They are NOT criminals, and anything about facial recognition recognizing criminals is completely false.

Of course, there is the tiny database of people who were caught on camera committing a crime. Like the FBI most wanted list.
