RE: Freeman Podcast, September 2, 2017 -- The Dinko from Yambol Cast

As Josh and I explain, we have both been to refugee camps -- he to investigate, and I to go along for the ride. Most of the migrants are NOT from war-torn countries, though the media and the EU try to get us to think otherwise. They are flowing in from all over the Muslim world, and mainly for economic reasons. Now, don't get me wrong -- I know that it is largely the West's intervention in their countries and the West's support of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, etc. in the first place that has caused a lot of the misery across the Middle East, but to say that they are all from war-torn countries is simply not true. Not even most of them. And regardless -- let's say we open up the borders to all those who wish to immigrate, whether for asylum or better economic opportunities -- We can't just say, "Come and get your free stuff!" They would need to be vetted, etc. to see if they were capable of and willing to integrate into society.

Dinko changed the story, for sure -- probably because what he did was illegal, or because he doesn't want people laughing at him. Not sure which.

Sort:

Whatever they come from. They come in search of better life. In the end, we are all human beings. I do agree with you about them be willing to integrate into society, but we also have to consider how hostile some of these countries have been to immigrants. I do see all your points and I do agree they are not all from war-torn countries. I am not suggesting to open-borders and just let them in. There are many problems which need to solved in order for them to intergarate to society, but I just don't like the fact some of the EU countries just washed their hands of it and let the other countries deal with the problem. It just shows how divided this world is.

Well, most may come for a better life, but the terrorists (and there are several who came through the Balkan route a few years ago) only come for 99 virgins, I suppose. As far as some EU countries welcoming them with open arms (and having problems with rape, child-rape, etc.) and others not, it only goes to show that the problem is with having a centralized government in Brussels trying to come up with one-size-fits-all, top-down solutions -- which never has worked and never will.
