The Kingdom of God

Episode one
I wannu start with a joke: so a little girl goes up to her mum and asks; "mum, where did humans come from?, I see you, daddy, other elders and I don't seem to understand". So mum said, "oh sweetheart its simple, sit let me tell you a story". She went on to narrate the creation story (God created the heavens and the earth and formed man from dust) and all to her daughter. And she was thinking through.
So later she saw dad idle, and approached him and asked the same question; "dad, where did humans come from?". Dad was excited and explained, "dear one, you see man evolved. In ancient times past there were apes and they evolve into chimps and humans came forth as the years went by (you know that story, I don't quite know it well, lol)
Now the kid was more confused, she run back to mum and exclaimed, "mummy, I asked dad where humans came from and he said we evolved from apes, now I'm confused"
Mummy giggled and said in a polite small voice, "oh my daughter I think this is simple, daddy told you where his family came from and I told you where my family came from".

With this said, let's delve into the kingdom of God.
Mark 4:30-32
Then He said, “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”

Luke 9:1-2
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Let's look at the word kingdom, Merriam Webster defines it as: a politically organized community or major territorial unit having a monarchical form of government headed by a king or queen
Awesome. So we see from here that a kingdom is a form of government, headed by a king, and God is the king the kingdom we believe in. Now we know a Prince can never be king until his father dies, and unless he's given a different territory he can't reign as king. So in order for us man to reign God had to create a new territory, and that is earth so in Gen 1:26-28 God created man, gave him dominion: rulership, authority over all the earth.
Lets continue; now this authority was lost when man fell, you should know emphatically that, Christianity is not a religion but its the original; why do I say this,
so in order for man to be reinstated - back to the original - John 3:16 happened. So from Isaiah 9:6&7 Jesus brought a government, with no end and established it. With this reinstatement you are now a chosen generation, a royal priesthood...(1 Pet 2:9) now lemme explain this a bit. You see in the olden days we had the priests who were ordained, the kings who were ordained and the Prophets all ordained and chosen by God. Not everybody was a priest, nor prophet. To be king you have to be born in a royal family right, yes. But when Jesus came we all have been made priests and not just that royal priests meaning we have been made kings also. So then Jesus we know is the king of kings, hallelujah!
OK so where did we get to, now when it comes to being king or inheriting it you got to be born into a Royal family, I already said that, why I'm I repeating this, because to be part of a government or a country you got to be born into it to be a citizen, you get it. So then Jesus tells Nicodemus; "...unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”(John 3:3) also to expand this, we see in Philippians 3:20 " For our citizenship is in heaven... "
So you ought to be born again into this kingdom and no other way.
Now back to the monarchical form of government, you see the power of a king is reflective of his property. So when you watch all these movies - roman empire etc - you realize that they want to conquer more territories, gain more properties, yes, wealth is described in possessions. And truth is in a Democratic government the people fend for themselves but in a kingdom the king takes care of his people, so you realize that when Jesus was talking to his disciples on the Mount in Matt 6 from verse 25 all the way to 34 he went on and on telling them not to worry nor think about what they'd eat or drink clothing or even about their life itself, & that their heavenly father (who is king of the kingdom) would provide. You get it. Also in a Democratic government the people choose their leaders, via voting but in a kingdom the king chooses its citizens.
So we see in one of my favourite chapters John 15 (and I shared this verse with over Patrick oneday after cell meeting and he has loved it since also) and the verse 16 Jesus says: "You did not choose Me, but I chose you..." Wow
