Trump in South Korea: "North Korea is a threat that requires action around the world" !
US President Donald Trump arrived to South Korea, where he said that the US and its allies made major progress in coping with the North Korean nuclear threat
"North Korea is a threat to the entire world " he said after meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. Trump invited North Korea to negotiations. "It is reasonable for North Korea to come to the table to conclude an agreement that is good for North Korea and people of the world," Trump said. "I think we are making good progress," he added.
He expressed his hope that they will never have to use military force against North Korea. But he argued that the US is ready to defend itself and its allies with all defense capabilities.
The US president, called on China and Russia to do more to end the North Korean threat. "We call on all responsible countries, including China and Russia, to demand from the North Korean regime to stop its nuclear and missile programs," he said.
Trump, one day before the visit to Beijing, praised Chinese President Xi Jinping that it is very helpful in resolving the North Korean crisis. South Korea was considered a long-standing ally of the United States. "We are partners and friends who fought together in the war," stressed Trump, adding that "we can not allow North Korea to endanger everything we have built."
During a lunch with US and South Korean troops at Humphreys, Trump said: "In the end, everything will be solved. As it always resolves, it must be resolved."
Trump is the first US president to visit South Korea after 25 years.
Throughout the country, protests have taken place in the last days against the arrival of Trump as well as in his support.
