Trump attacked Amazon !
US President Donald Trump launched an attack on Amazon, which he said was paying little or no local and state taxes. He also accused them of being guilty of "the collapse of thousands of retailers."
Trump added in the tweet that the company "uses our postal system as a delivery slave (which causes huge loss for the US)". His statements followed the reporting of the Axios website, which announced a news on Wednesday that Trump wanted to discipline Amazon.
On Wednesday Amazon shares lost more than 4 percent.
In the story, the Axios news website claimed: "The rich friends of Trump have told him that Amazon is ruining their businesses. His real estate friends say to him, and he agrees with them that Amazon is destroying shopping centers and traditional retailers."
This is not the first time that the US president has criticized Amazon in social media.
For example, in August last year, he said: "Amazon is causing great damage to retailers who pay taxes. All over United States there is harm to cities and states - many jobs have been lost!"
In the past, Trump also directed his criticism against the Washington Post newspaper, which reports strongly against the president and is owned by the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.
Last year, he tweeted: "#AmazonWashingtonPost, sometimes also called as Amazon's watchdog who does not pay taxes (but you should) is FAKE NEWS!"
