While I find the U.S. (and Canada's for that matter) seemingly absolute loyalty to Israel disturbing I think getting rid of the UN is a very good thing in the grander scheme of things. We, every person and every nation, need to maintain our sovereignty. "Unity" under an authority is not unity, it's enslavement. Only when we all assert our own self ownership and collaborate voluntarily, respect one another and associate with whom we please voluntarily can we hope to function as a unified species. As long as we're trying to dominate one another we're not going to function as a unified whole or have any kind of harmony. The cells of a body do not fight one another. Muscle cells group with muscle cells, nerve cells with nerve cells, skin cells with skin cells, organ cells with organ cells, every kind of cell is celebrated for what it is and when you put them together you get the various tissues of the body. Even the brain doesn't work in isolation or as some dominating organ and requires the rest of the body to function. The brain is what it is as much as your muscles or nerves or guts are what they are. We as human beings, each one of us are what we are. We are each unique and beautiful in our own way. To say we shouldn't be able to gravitate to those that enrich our lives and support us (freedom of association) or express who we are (freedom of expression) is to try and deny our very nature. And it's only by granting human beings freedom that harmony between them can occor. We keep trying to create harmony and order by dominating our fellow man but in truth the opposite is true. It's giving them freedom that will create such harmony. Because human beings fundamentally seek to be free and express who and what they are.
