A Sydney university student has taken a giant leap and landed his dream job at NASA.
Seamus Thomson first impressed the space research agency with his undergraduate honours thesis, which he submitted in the 2015 Australian Science Prize.
While Mr Thomson just missed out on first place, his runner-up position landed him a 10-week internship at NASA's Ames Research Centre where he was asked to stay for a further year.
