Transport of the future: faster than helicopter and cheaper than taxi
Lilium Jet is fully automated cargo drone. This is the project of German start-up which promises to open new era in the market of public transportation.
It is faster than helicopter, it is quieter than motorcycle, it is cheaper than taxi and in addition it is environmentally safe. The biggest peculiarity of “flying electro-car” is its no need for additional runway. It departs vertically, same as helicopter.
Electro engines are hidden under the wings and create enough thrust to lift double convertiplane into the air and develop the flight speed of 300 kilometers per hour.

First trial flight of Lilium Jet was operated remotely but the closest future plans of the company are to operate the machine manually and increase the number of seats up to 5 passengers.
This kind of transport can fully remove taxi. For example, the trip from Manhattan to the Kennedy International Airport would last no more than 5 minutes while New York taxi usually needs one hour for such a trip. These services of electronic air-taxi are twice and in future even ten times cheaper than the regular payment for the services of “yellow” transporters.
The creators of Lilium Jet state that “flying electro-cars” are the future of the public transport.
As for me, it is very great that this machine was created. World is developing and I believe we should develop our future as well.
