This is the first time I've heard of this and I couldn't agree more, it's down right wonderful! There's a similar "experiment" with removing traffic lights, which gives people a chance to police themselves instead of making everyone see and treat each other as pretty much the lowest common denominator when it comes to driving, it called the Town without traffic lights. I like to think of it as raising expectations away from the mindset of incompetency we've sold ourselves in.
