First of all - she was not elected or voted for. Most readers (by far) voted for the Hong Kong Protesters, but because of ties with China, one man in Time decided to replace the reader choice with this autistic person who cannot talk for herself (you all saw where she was interviewed with other teens and she could not answer any questions as she had not been prepared - taught- how to answer them?).
