As my promise this day we will discuss about how to make text into bold and emphasis (italic) if you had time to read my past post then. This is a continuation of the last discussion. 1. Bold

Bold is a function to thicken the letter or text we want to bold, so it looks brighter and clearer than the writing that is not bold. For beginner bloggers like us who are the first time to write for publication on the website must still be unfamiliar with the name of Markdown. Well, this time I will explain a little how to thicken writing that will be published on your website.

Like the picture above, we can see that so easy way to thicken writing using Markdown. We just use two asterisk symbols ( * ) at the beginning of the sentence and two at the end of the sentence. And the sentence that we want to bold was finished.

2. Emphasis (italic)

Emphasis (italic) is a function to tilt the letter or text that we choose, italic is very functional to clarify the important writing. See the following picture :

To be able to make italic text has two ways, the first way is almost the same as how to make bold text, just a little difference where at the time of making bold text we use two symbols asterisk. While to make italic text only In need of one symbol as seen in the picture above. The method is the same, just add one an asterisk symbol ( * ) at the beginning of the sentence and another at the end of the sentence.

And the second way is similar to the first way only the symbol used is not an asterisk but the underscore ( _ ), how to use it is also the same that is just add one of the underscore symbol at the beginning and end of the sentence. Well, now we already know how to make italic and bold text. So how do we make an italic bolded text? The trick is easy, see the following picture :

3. Combination of bold and emphasis (italic)

This is a function to make italic bolded text. There are two ways you can use italic bold text, such as :

• The first is to combine all the symbols used to make bold and italic text into one. If, to make a bold text using two symbols asterisk ( * ) and for italic text of one symbol, then to make italic bolded text required three asterisk symbol. See the picture above.

• The second is also to merge all the methods into one, only the symbols are different because the second way using two symbols asterisk ( * ) is combined with an underscore symbol ( _ ). For more details see the picture above.
