It's a website that allows us to interact with the STEEM blockchain in a similar way Steemit.com does. It has become very popular since it looks better than steemit according to a lot of people. The good thing about more applications on top of STEEM is that there are more options, it appeals to a larger number of people, raising the value of the tech.
