Great article, but a question arises.
Do we have a right to think that Israel is also behind this gas attack ? They have the means and the motive. Seems like too big of a coincidence.
There was no gas attack. The movie was fake.
That's clearly a possibility, that wouldn't be their first time (Protests in Tripoli, Libya staged and filmed in Qatar in February 2011, some inconsistencies in the previous Syrian gas attacks).
But even if it is real, isn't Israel the country that profits most of it ? Except Syria of course, but would take the risk to gas enemies when you're winning with traditional weapons ? Doesn't seem coherent, even with the "mad dictator" image they're trying to sell about Assad (in Europe at least). For a mediocre and shy opthtalmologist, even if power corrupts people, it's hard to imagine.
