Pedophile Brutally Rapes 6-Yr-Old Boy, Asks Child To Bite Pillow During Horrific Abuse

The boy is left so traumatized by his ordeal he no longer plays with children. He has been tearing up his clothes, and damaging his toys.

30-year-old John Bell, who told a six-year-old boy to bite a pillow while repeatedly raping him in a series of shocking sexual attacks, has been jailed for 17 years after a jury found him guilty of six counts of rape of a young child.

Judge Edward Bindloss told Bell when he sentenced him at Newcastle Crown Court:

“During the rapes you told him not to tell his mother about what was happening. The boy said he was scared, shocked and worried about what happened. This was a course of conduct where you abused him on a regular basis. You physically hurt him when you raped him and you told him to bite the pillow.

“I’m satisfied you groomed him. You gave him sweets and took him on motorbike trips. You groomed him, acting for your own sexual gratification. You knew he had been raped by another male. You went on to rape him knowing he had been abused before. The psychological effects of what happened to him at your hands are likely to be very harmful for a long time.”

The court heard Bell, a trained mechanic, knew the boy had already been raped by a family member but that didn’t stop him to further sexually abuse the child. The boy, The Independent reported, is left so traumatized by his ordeal he no longer plays with children, he has been tearing up his clothes, and he has been damaging his toys.

Bindloss added:

“Since the attacks on the boy, when he was six and seven, he has started to self harm, scratching himself to the point of bleeding and tearing his clothes, damaging his toys and is receiving counseling. He is isolated and didn’t want to play with other children. It’s quite clear he has been deeply affected by what happened to him.”

Paul Currer, Bell’s attorney, defended the pedophile saying:

“The defendant continues to deny the offences. His own upbringing was not without difficulties. He has had difficulties with alcohol that very nearly killed him. Being in custody has already had a dramatic effect on him.”
