‘McAfee Coin’: Crypto Pundit John McAfee to Launch Own Currency

Tech Activist and Cybersecurity expert, John McAfee, has announced that he will be launching his new coin tomorrow, which he described as a collectible fiat backed by cryptocurrency.

In a twitter post, McAfee revealed a picture sent to him by cryptocurrency wallets shop SmartPayMINT, adding that he will be announcing his new “McAfee Coin” tomorrow

The controversial crypto enthusiast recently launched a campaign on cryptocurrency independence in which he warned about a looming cryptocurrency war with the government, banks and financial institutions.

The McAfee team is calling for a declaration of currency independence on a website outlining the principles at stake if we do nothing;

“This Declaration is an intellectual and ideological call to arms. It was written with the recognition that the newer possibilities that made the Bitcoin blockchain so powerfully intriguing were being strategically obscured by the older systems. These old systems are maintained to keep the vast masses of humanity intellectually enslaved to measuring value according to rules they cannot see, understand, or even acknowledge.”

According to the website, the call is to sign the declaration on the blockchain for those ‘who have awakened to the stark contrasts that exist between the future promise of this technology and the current control mechanisms in place’.

The launch of his radical McAfee coin seems to be on top of this campaign.
