Well its hard to argue, all the earmarks are here. Just like rome. Senate disconnected from the people, invasion of enemies, fledging economy, increased depravity, and on.... I think if the U.S. economy falls we enter a global depression. Everyone is up to their ears in U.S. treasury bonds plus they depend on our consumption of their goods. I believe its a one for all dominoe effect. I think whoever has more physical holdings of gold and introduces a backed note will fare best. All these fiats are draining themselves. But without a doubt our populace has gone mad and has no clue where all the wealth was derived.
As far as I understand it there is 20 Trillion owed to one bank or another and these banks did nothing to merit that kind of payback: they just quaffed money into existence.........
