YPG kills several Turkish-backed rebels in two ambushes (video)
BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:20 P.M.) - The Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) continued their operations against the Turkish-backed rebels in the Afrin region this week.
The YPG managed to kill several members of the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) forces after carrying out two separate ambushes in the Afrin region of northwest Aleppo.
According to the YPG's official media wing, their forces targeted a base belonging to the Hamza Brigade in the village of Qimara on October 16th.
As a result of this ambush, a total of four Free Syrian Army fighters were killed, while three others were badly wounded during the YPG's surprise attack.
Of the rebels killed, three were identified as Abdullah al-Mar’i, Mohammad Suleiman, and Abu Yaqoob Hamza.
The second YPG attack targeted a military vehicle belonging to the Free Syrian Army in the Afrin region.
The YPG said their roadside bomb killed at least two fighters from the Al-Sham Regiment, while two others were badly wounded.
