YPG forces kill half dozen Turkish-backed rebels in northwest Syria
BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:30 P.M.) - The Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) carried out two deadly attacks against the Turkish-backed rebels in northern Syria this past week.
Led by their active sleeper cells, the YPG carried out both their attacks against the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) inside the Afrin region of northwest Aleppo.
"On December 14th, one of our units carried out an operation against the military base of Turkish-backed Sham Legion (Feylaq al-Sham) mercenary faction located between Dersiwan and Nabi Houri villages of Afrin’s Shera district," the YPG statement began.
"As a result, four of the terrorists were killed and five others wounded, they added about the first attack.
"On the same day, our forces carried out an operation with explosive device targeting a military vehicle of the Sultan Murad Division mercenaries in Qastal Miqdad village of Afrin’s Bilbile district,," the YPG said.
"As a result, two terrorists were killed and two were wounded," they would add.
