Two Su-34 fighter-bombers were ordered by the state defense order in the aviation regiment stationed on the territory of the Chelyabinsk region in the Central Military District (TsVO), the Central Organ of Military News reported on Monday.

"The planes are relocated to the Lipetsk Combat Training Center for frontline aviation, where the crews will undergo flight training, including aerobatics, and the engineering and technical staff will prepare for the technical operation of a new type of aircraft," the report said.

At the beginning of 2018, six Su-34 fighter-bombers were introduced to the armament of the aviation regiment from the Chelyabinsk region for the first time.

Su-34 is designed to engage both ground and air targets of the enemy day and night under any meteorological conditions.

The aircraft uses controlled air-to-surface and air-to-air armament of long range with multi-channel application. Equipped with a highly intelligent system of radar countermeasures and defense.

The range of the Su-34 flight is up to 4,000 km, the maximum speed is up to 1,900 km / h, the combat load is up to eight tons. The noise level from the Su-34 is half as much compared to the aircraft of earlier modifications.
