BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:20 P.M.) - The joint military operations command in Iraq announced on Saturday morning that the Taji Base, which includes foreign forces north of Baghdad, was attacked by multiple rockets. According to the joint military operations command, at least two military personnel were wounded by the the rocket strikes. The two military personnel are currently in critical condition and have since been transferred to a hospital to treat their wounds. Watch: Russian Tu-142 intercepts US submarines

Two Russian strategic bombers flew over American submarines and a US military camp called Seadragon in the Arctic, according to reports. In a video, shared by Airboyd, two Tu-142 maritime reconnaissance planes are seen escorted by North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD) aircraft. According to the description, the incident occurred in international airspace over the Beaufort Sea on 9 March, and the Russian planes stayed at least 50 nautical miles away from the Alaskan coast and did not enter American or Canadian sovereign airspace.

Several rockets hit Iraqi base housing US troops

BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) - Several rockets were fired towards the Taji Base this morning, causing a number of explosions in and around the installation. According to reports, over ten rockets struck the Taji Base north of Baghdad, the same installation that was targeted earlier this week. No casualties have been reported. Earlier this week, as many as 18 rockets were fired at the Taji Base, killing at least three military personnel, two American and one Brit. The U.S. Central Command blamed the Iran-backed Kata'ib Hezbollah forces, who they later targeted in a series of airstrikes on Thursday evening.

Syria removes Turkish points to reopen Hama-Aleppo Highway for first time in 8 years

The international highway of Hama-Aleppo at Ma’ar Hatat region was reopened on Friday after the government removed the barricades and barriers set up by the Turkish military. According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), government repair crews removed the Turkish military barriers in the area Ma’ar Hatat between Khan Sheikhoun and Ma’arat al-Numan, paving the way for the reopening of the highway on Friday. A SANA reporter added that a number of Turkish soldiers still occupy some houses in the area, as they have only moved off the highway.
