BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:40 P.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army scored a new advance along the Hama-Idlib axis on Thursday, seizing several sites from the last jihadist rebels in the area. According to a field report from this front, the Syrian Army began the day by capturing the hilltop of Tal Sayyed and the nearby village of Sayyed. Following this advance, the Syrian Army would capture several other areas along the Idlib-Hama axis, including Tal Huwayz, Al-Bashir Driving School, and Wadi Al-Anz. BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 P.M.) - A large Russian ship carrying tanks is making its way to the Syrian port city of Tartous, maritime observer Yoruk Isik reported on Thursday. BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:45 P.M.) - The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) entered the strategic city of Khan Sheikhoun from all axes on Wednesday after the jihadist rebels were forced to withdraw due to a series of losses. The Syrian Army was filmed inside the western sector of Khan Sheikhoun on Thursday after securing some neighborhoods.

The Syrian Army is now working to clear all explosives left behind by the jihadist rebels inside of Khan Sheikhoun.

Turkey not withdrawing from observation post despite encirclement

Turkey will maintain its presence at the ninth observation post in the Syrian town of Morek despite the Syrian army regaining control over the city of Khan Sheikhoun, located in the country's northwestern Idlib province, Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Thursday. "The ninth observation post in the town of Morek remains in its initial point despite the city’s fall. The Syrian army regained control of the city of Khan Sheikhoun," Aksoy said.
