Israel accuses Hezbollah of setting up military border-post under guise of NGO
BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) - The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have accused Hezbollah of setting up a military post in southern Lebanon under the guise of an environmental NGO.
Citing a senior military officer from the IDF, the AFP reported that Hezbollah established the military post near the Lebanese border-town of Adaysseh, which overlooks the Israeli settlement of Misgav Am.
The Israeli officer alleges Hezbollah setup the post under the cover of a "Green Without Borders" NGO.
"This NGO isn’t concerned with planting trees; it’s a front," the Israeli officer told reporters on Monday.
The position contains "military equipment and infrastructure, binoculars, high end cameras," the officer said. "This is a breach of 1701."
