ISIL's in deep trouble as Syrian troops liberate more ground in southeast Syria
BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:00 P.M.) - The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) cannot find any relief in southeast Syria, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies keep rolling through eastern Al-Sweida.
Backed by the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) and National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian Army scored a new advance in the Badiya Al-Sham region of Al-Sweida this afternoon.
According to a military source in Al-Sweida, the Syrian Army and their allies managed to liberat the large hilltops of Tal Al-Khayl and Tal Daires after a short battle with the Islamic State terrorists.
The source added that the Islamic State suffered heavy casualties during the battle of Tal Al-Khayl, which resulted in their forced retreat from this large hilltop in east Al-Sweida.
The Syrian Army is now pushing through the Islamic State's lines at several axes in a bid to clear the remaining remnants of the terrorist group from the Badiya Al-Sham region.
On Sunday, the Syrian Army and their allies kicked off the second phase of their Badiya Al-Sham offensive, following a short hiatus to secure the liberated territories in east Al-Sweida.
With these latest territorial losses in Al-Sweida, the Islamic State finds themselves in a world of trouble, as they are quickly running out of provisions and combatants.
