Early reports of US troops withdrawing from Manbij city
BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:00 P.M.) - The U.S. troops have allegedly begun withdrawing from Manbij after reports of a massive Turkish military buildup at the northern outskirts of the city.
The rumors regarding the U.S. Coalition's withdrawal from Manbij were first reported by local activists inside the city.
However, these reports remain nothing more than rumors because no photos or videos have been released to corroborate these claims.
Furthermore, the U.S. Coalition has not commented on these rumors about their alleged withdrawal from Manbij.
While the U.S. withdrawal is expected to take place soon, it is not clear whether or not they will be leaving the city this week.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have already begun talks with the Syrian government about the future of their territories in northern and eastern Syria.
Some early reports from the Manbij countryside indicate that the Syrian government and Syrian Democratic Forces have reached an agreement on the transfer of the city, but nothing official has been released to corroborate these claims.
