United Nations Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura met with several countries including the UK and the US to discuss the current situation in Syria, at the UN Palais des Nations in Geneva on Monday.

De Mistura earlier said that he invited senior officials from the Small Group countries for consultations, following talks with Iran, Russia and Turkey on the formation of the commission responsible for creating a new future Syrian Constitution.

He added that he will also continue consultations with other countries on the formation of the Syrian Constitution Commission.
